A NEW LMC

Last night the Yakima diocese received a new LMC. Melissa received her LMC cross which is worn on a safety pin on the left shoulder. I asked her to find one that was meaningful for her. She went on retreat recently and while there found a crucifix with Mary and John at the foot of the cross. While I worked on putting the cross on a pin we watched the film "Mother Teresa" which came out some time ago. The film never fails to inspire me ... especially the part where Mother wanted to go to the other side of Beirut. Her community prayed for a Cease Fire and it came about. We will review Chapter One and begin Chapter Two of the Statutes at our next meeting. At the end we prayed Night Prayer before ending our meeting.
